Any artist or group named on more than 50% of the counted ballots will be inducted to The People's Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame.
The cutoff year for eligibility is 1961. To be eligible, an artist or group had to have released their first single or album no later than '61.
Write-in votes are allowed. You may list any artist or group not included on the ballot, and the vote will count, so long as they meet the 1961 cut-off date. If an ineligible name is included on a write-in ballot, that ballot may be counted as a "short" (less than twenty) ballot.
Balloting ends at 12:00 noon PST on Wednesday, February 17, 2010. Post your ballots in the comments section at the bottom of this post.

Greg - you know you can go up to 20 this time?
Yes, I do. Again I'm being very stingy with my votes. Close calls that I'll strongly consider for a 3rd Ballot: Carl Perkins, Eddie Cochran, The Coasters, Jackie Wilson, Ricky Nelson. Maybe not of all of these will make the list, though, considering all the "bug music" I'll have to choose from next time!
No problem, just wanted to make sure.
And yeah, there are some big names coming up in March.
I'll count it now as ballot #10 and include it in the next update.

Magothy counted.
Mr. Cogswell, do you have a problem with counting to twenty? I believe that was a part of the instructions. Also, please notice that I keptmy choices to the list that was provided.
Everly Brothers, Rick Nelson, Dion & the Belmonts, Connie Francis and a much overlooked but certainly worthy of the honor . . . Brenda Lee.
Magothy - not sure what you mean. I counted your ballot, it's now included in our totals. Is there something I'm missing here?
Avelinosgirl - confirm you want to submit a five name ballot - you are allowed up to 20. I can count it after you confirm.
JUST WANT TO STAY WITH 16. PLEASE ADD CONNIE FRANCIS !!
