People's Election: July, 2010

Welcome to the July election for the People's Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. If you haven't voted before, take a moment to look at the rules.  Those returning should note that the minimum ballot size has been cut from 15 down to 10 names.  Voters can still name up to 25 nominees.

Vote for up to 25 artists or groups.
Ballots can be posted either in the comments section of this blog post or on the wall of our official Facebook page.

You must vote for at least 10. Ballots with less than 10 names will not be counted.

Any artist or group named on more than 50% of the counted ballots will be inducted to The People's Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame.

The cutoff year for eligibility is 1966. To be eligible, an artist or group had to have released their first single or album no later than '66.

Write-in votes are allowed. You may list up to three artists or groups not included on the ballot, and the vote will count, so long as they meet the 1966 cut-off date. If an ineligible name is included on a write-in ballot, that ballot may be counted as a short ballot. Ballots containing more than three write-in votes will not be counted.  The People's Rock Hall moderators reserve the right to not count any ballots we deem to not be legitimate.

Balloting ends at 12:00 noon PST on Friday, July 16, 2010.

Did you know that Jim Croce and Neil Diamond are also eligible for this month's election? If you want to make a good nominating list for future elections use future rock legends eleigible artists lists for reference. Got some great names that aren't in the real ROck Hall. Love this site. Also, I will be voting for Rush when there time comes.

Ted Cogswell said...

I do indeed use Future Rock Hall for reference, it's a great resource. Neil Diamond and Jim Croce have both been considered and will eventually end up on our nominee list. In the meantime, they're both eligible as write-in votes.
