Nominees for The People's August, 2010 Election

Welcome to the August election for the People's Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. If you haven't voted before, take a moment to look at the rules.

Vote for up to 25 artists or groups.
Ballots can be posted either in the comments section of this blog post or on the wall of our official Facebook page.

You must vote for at least 10. Ballots with less than 10 names will not be counted.

Any artist or group named on more than 50% of the counted ballots will be inducted to The People's Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame.

The cutoff year for eligibility is 1967. To be eligible, an artist or group had to have released their first single or album no later than '67.

Write-in votes are allowed. You may list up to three artists or groups not included on the ballot, and the vote will count, so long as they meet the 1967 cut-off date. If an ineligible name is included on a write-in ballot, that ballot may be counted as a short ballot. Ballots containing more than three write-in votes will not be counted.  The People's Rock Hall moderators reserve the right to not count any ballots we deem to not be legitimate.

Balloting ends at 12:00 noon PST on Friday August 20, 2010.

Above all counted.

Tom listed the Doors twice.

Sandra - SMB didn't have a record out by 1967 so they're not a valid write-in vote this month.

A-Wolf: Dick Dale is already in the People's Rock Hall, which means your ballot is one short. I can count it if you ad one or more eligible name(s). Also, both of your write-in votes (Albert Collins, Link Wray) are eligible candidates, you can have up to three write-ins as long as they meet the current 1967 cut-off date.
